Picking a stick

There are a number of different manufacturers of Floorball sticks which are available in Australia, including Exel, Salming, Unihoc and Fat Pipe. While each of these are unique and have their own strengths, the fundamentals are the same in each.

  

There is a large amount of technology that goes into the design and manufacture of a floorball stick. This video, from Fat Pipe, demonstrates their new S Bow stick, with a bend shaft for extra strength and accuracy.

 

 

 

Bending your stick’s blade

You can bend your stick’s blade to get a strong curve. This will help you control the ball better. Here’s a Swedish video explaining how to do it with a hot air gun, however if you don’t have one you can get similar results just using your stove.
